We ship to every EU member state (including the Republic of Ireland) and Northern Ireland (mainland UK coming soon) — and nowhere else, for now. Every order is tracked end-to-end with proof of delivery, and dispatched within two working days. Standard tracked shipping applies to all orders. Spain enjoys free shipping on orders over €55. EU orders ship free over €130 (otherwise €8.99 flat). Northern Ireland orders ship at €12.95 flat per order regardless of cart size. Mainland UK shipping is coming soon.

The small print on vouchers: free shipping kicks in on what you actually pay. If your Discovery credit drops the cart below €130 (EU) or €55 (Spain), standard rates apply. We're not hiding it.

02 Tracking

Every parcel, traced.

You'll receive a dispatch email with your tracking number the moment your order leaves the studio. The link inside lets you follow the parcel through each handover until it reaches your door.

If 48 hours have passed since dispatch and your tracking still shows no movement, write to us at hola@myspitefulaugust.com with your order number and we'll chase it personally.

03 Customs & duties

For orders to the UK, Switzerland & Norway.

Orders shipping outside the European Union — to Northern Ireland, Switzerland, or Norway — may attract import duties, VAT, or handling fees on arrival. These are levied by your local customs authority and are the responsibility of the recipient.

We declare every parcel honestly and at full retail value. We cannot mark shipments as gifts or undervalue them.

For UK orders specifically: post-Brexit, expect VAT and a small Royal Mail handling fee charged on delivery.

Orders within the European Union are duty-free.

04 Returns

30 days. Unopened bottles only.

If your fragrance arrived intact but you've changed your mind, we accept returns on unopened 50ml bottles within 30 days of delivery, in their original packaging and with the cellophane seal unbroken.

To start a return, email hola@myspitefulaugust.com with your order number. We'll send return instructions and the studio address. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect — in those cases we cover it.

Refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5 working days of the bottle arriving back at the studio in saleable condition.

What we cannot accept back:

05 Damaged or wrong items

If something arrives broken.

Every bottle is wrapped in protective material and double-boxed for transit, but glass and travel don't always agree. If your fragrance arrives damaged, leaking, or you receive the wrong item, contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a clear photograph of the issue.

We'll replace it or refund you — your choice — and we'll cover the return shipping ourselves.

06 Travel shock

Let the formula settle.

Extraits de Parfum are dense, oil-heavy compositions. Temperature shifts during transit — especially in summer airfreight or winter ground transit — can temporarily mute the top notes.

When your bottle arrives, set it somewhere cool and dark and leave it undisturbed for two to three days before your first spray. The formula recombines, the top notes lift, and the fragrance returns to the version Scott composed.

This isn't a flaw. It's the nature of working with high-concentration extraits rather than commercial dilutions.

EU Right of Withdrawal

Your right to cancel.

If you live in the EU, the EU 2011/83 Consumer Rights Directive gives you 14 days to change your mind. Here's exactly how.

The 14-day window

You have 14 calendar days from the day your order arrives to tell us you want to cancel. No reason needed, no apology required.

How to cancel

Email hola@myspitefulaugust.com with the subject line Order cancellation request. Include your order number and we'll send the return instructions within one working day. You can also use the model withdrawal form below.

Returning the goods

You have a further 14 days from the date you notified us to send the goods back. Items must be unopened with the original seal intact — fragrance is a personal-hygiene product and EU law allows us to refuse refunds on opened bottles.

Refunds

We refund within 14 days of receiving the returned goods (or within 14 days of you providing proof of return, whichever is sooner). We refund the full price including standard outbound shipping. Return shipping is your responsibility unless the goods arrived damaged or incorrect.

Model withdrawal form

You don't have to use this — an email works. But if you prefer the official form:

To: Spiteful August, Flamenca Beach Centro Comercial, Calle Niagara 63 local 33, 03189 Orihuela Costa, Spain · hola@myspitefulaugust.com

I/we hereby give notice that I/we cancel my/our contract of sale of the following goods: [your order number and items]
Ordered on: [date]
Received on: [date]
Name of consumer: [your name]
Address of consumer: [your address]

04 UK customs & charges

Shipping into the UK.

Brexit happened. We deal with it. So do you, briefly, when your parcel crosses the Channel. The vast majority arrive without drama, but UK customs may apply:

These aren't us. They're HMRC and the carrier — payable when your parcel lands. We declare every order at its true value, under-declaring is illegal and we don't do it.

Prefer the easier route? Our EU customers — Ireland included — get their orders without any of this paperwork.
