Spiteful August is a rebellious indie fragrance house based in Spain. Every single fragrance we release is shaped, blended, and poured entirely by hand. We work slowly and deliberately with traditional essential oils, natural resins, absolutes, and sharp modern aroma chemicals.
Every formula is shaped by human hands. And you can smell the difference.
What began as a personal obsession with blending and exploring fragrance slowly grew into something more hands-on. Today, each perfume is composed by self-taught perfumer Scott Wolf, guided by a shared instinct for bold, expressive scent.
We don't smooth away the difficult edges.
Where traditional houses aim for smoothness, harmony, and instant likability, we lean into contradiction. Our perfumes exist in the tense spaces between opposing emotional states — clean and dirty, warm and cold, luminous and dark. Sunlight entering an abandoned room. Tropical humidity drifting through dry woods.
We don't smooth away difficult edges. We don't over-correct a raw, muddy, or overripe opening to make it safe for the masses. We preserve those imperfections deliberately, allowing our fragrances to bloom out of tension rather than perfection.
They do not simply dry down on your skin. They evolve psychologically. They carry a pulse.

Our fragrances are unapologetically genderless. They belong to no one except the person wearing them.
Our debut collection will almost certainly divide people. It should. That is what genuine artistic identity looks like. These are creations of pure obsession, shared quietly with a global circle of admirers until they are ready to be unleashed.
Spiteful August takes its name from the Latin augustus — meaning majestic, worthy of reverence.
